Ashton Forbes

Ashton Forbes is an independent creator and investigator whose own site describes work on zero-point energy, macro and quantum physics, advanced propulsion, UFO/UAP questions and alleged hidden technologies. This campaign spotlight is about the scientific method: state the claim clearly, show the strongest counterargument, publish measurements and let independent replication decide.

No endorsement implied. This page does not claim Ashton Forbes endorses Robert Motta or Vote Motta 2028. A creator spotlight is not automatic acceptance of a creator's scientific conclusions.

Claim vs. evidence

What should voters take away?

Ashton's claim A vertical version of Michelson–Morley shows a significant effect and supports the return of a physical medium / ether interpretation.
Mainstream result Michelson–Morley reported a null result for classical ether drift, and increasingly precise modern tests have continued to find no Lorentz-violating anisotropy at the expected scale.
Vertical orientation is not a clean shortcut Gravity, mechanical deformation, temperature gradients, tilt and alignment can all change optical path lengths and fringe positions.
Campaign position Don't settle it by authority or ridicule. Define the predicted signal, instrument the confounders, preregister the analysis and replicate it independently.
Open-testing protocol

What experiment would be persuasive?

  1. Publish exact interferometer geometry, wavelength, materials, mounting and orientation.
  2. State the predicted fringe shift for the proposed medium model before collecting data.
  3. State the special/general-relativistic prediction and expected gravitational contribution.
  4. Log temperature gradients, vibration, tilt, barometric pressure and material strain.
  5. Rotate between horizontal and vertical configurations using the same instrument when practical.
  6. Use blinded or preregistered analysis and release raw time-series/fringe data.
  7. Have an independent lab reproduce the apparatus and analysis.
  8. Define in advance what result would falsify the medium/ether interpretation.
